Pembroke Lodge has used Person Centred Software’s system Mobile Care Monitoring since 2013. The 20-bed, family-run residential care home is in Reading, Berkshire.

Deputy manager, Daniel D’Cruz explains why Pembroke Lodge adopted Person Centred Software’s system. “I have always wanted to use technology to aid the carers with their duties. Person Centred Software’s system is what Pembroke Lodge needed.
“Using the system, carers spend more time giving personal care. They need less time to update records. Care records are now much more thorough and detailed compared to paper records.”
Staff spend more time with service users
Queenie is a shift leader at Pembroke Lodge and agrees with Daniel. “Life is easier for staff with Mobile Care Monitoring.”
Queenie stresses the key benefits of Mobile Care Monitoring. “Staff save time on paperwork. Although we spend more time with service users, we have improved the quality of care records.”
“We would recommend Person Centred Software’s system to other care providers.”
She continues, “As a shift leader, I am freed from paperwork and the information we record is precise and accurate.”
“Carers used to update each resident’s daily log, which took two hours every day. Now carers have the responsibility to record all the care they give to a service user.
“This leads to more detailed and accurate care notes. It is much better than short notes written for each service user by the shift leader.”
Person Centred Software’s system real-time care delivery
Using the system, staff record care at point of delivery. So Pembroke Lodge’s care notes are now much more valuable than a daily summary of care.
Queenie says that Person Centred Software’s system has transformed the lives of staff at Pembroke Lodge. “All information is accessible. Staff can now track the care that every service user receives.”
Queenie and Daniel conclude, “We would recommend Person Centred Software’s system to other care providers.”
